The Laboratory on the Hoe
The "Laboratory on the Hoe" project was prepared and is being run with several local partner institutions. These are:
The Marine Biological Association (MBA), a learned society devoted to the study of the marine environment; the MBA is the lead partner on this project.
The Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (SAHFOS), oversees of the Continuous Plankton Recorder survey. SAHFOS shares occupation of the Laboratory in Plymouth.
Plymouth City Council, and especially the Plymouth and West Devon Record Office, which has a responsibility to collect and preserve historical records relating to Plymouth and its environs, and the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, which has a vast array of collections ranging from natural history, science and the arts.
The South West Image Bank, a local ommunity archive that curates and makes available more than 150 photographic collections that illustrate the lives of people and institutions in the area.
